    We got hope, folks! Real hope, and not that phony emotion our current President played on when he got himself elected. He's still counting on the recipients (the Dole) of the welfare state benefits for legitimacy and re-election.

    Has he got any idea what's going to happen when mainstream America (not the East Coast or the West Coast) realizes the current system is not sustainable?

    Dr. Gary North, an economic historian, believes technology, meaning the Internet, is in the process of destroying the current American political establishment. Here's what he has to say in his Remnant Review newsletter of October 16, 2009:

My belief is that we are witnessing the end of the American political Establishment. If this were World War II, I would say that the battle of Stalingrad is over. I may be too optimistic. Maybe the battle of Stalingrad has only just begun. But the outcome is sure: the invaders will be repulsed. Despite the fact that the invasion has gone on almost from the beginning of the American Republic, this is going to be reversed. Germany could not defeat the Soviet Union, because the supply lines were too long. The supply lines for the American warfare-welfare state are now becoming too long.

The government is not going to be able to buy the votes it needs to expand the power of the central government over the lives of the people. It will continue to attempt to do so. More programs will be voted into the law. But as they do, the deficit is going to get worse. The ability of the Federal government to extend its power by means of the purchase of votes is dependent on fiat money and massive debt. It is reaching the limits in both areas.

Kong Sez:

    It can't come too soon for us, folks. It's time Americans got back to frugal living and relearn how to live within their means. It would help if we had a government capable of setting us a good example.

    Soon...the time will come when we can't tell you it's time to do something. It is already now too late, but, you can do a little while the clock is still ticking.
